Minerva Perez-Ramos, 34, of Willow Grove, was arrested on assault and related charges on Monday, Sept. 30, Warminster Township Police said.

The incident happened as Perez-Ramos was about to get into a Lyft vehicle that was called for her at an apartment building in the first block of Madison Avenue in Warminster at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, according to the criminal complaint.

Perez-Ramos exited the apartment building with a man police identified as her ex-boyfriend and began loading her belongings into the Lyft vehicle, the criminal complaint states. At that point, the Lyft driver saw Perez-Ramos in her rearview mirror making "aggressive motions that resembled stabbing" toward the ex-boyfriend before quickly getting into the backseat of the vehicle.

The Lyft Driver told Perez-Ramos to get out and declared that her ride was canceled, according to the affidavit of probable cause. From there, the Lyft driver went to pick up another customer, who found a bloody kitchen knife with a 3-inch-long blade in the backseat, which they reported to the driver.

A Warminster Township police officer investigated and recovered the knife, the criminal complaint states. About an hour later, the officer was notified of a stabbing victim — the ex-boyfriend —  at Holy Redeemer Hospital.

The ex-boyfriend told police that he called some friends to pick him up from the same apartment building as Perez-Ramos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, according to the criminal complaint. When Perez-Ramos saw the friends picking up her ex-boyfriend, she approached the vehicle while shouting "You're defending her."

Perez-Ramos showed the knife to the friends in the vehicle, which included a child, and shouted, "I will kill you all," the criminal complaint states. She tried to open the car door, but the ex-boyfriend intervened. Instead, Perez-Ramos stabbed the ex-boyfriend in his right thigh, causing a laceration.

After she stabbed her ex-boyfriend, she attempted to leave in the Lyft while the friends took the ex-boyfriend to the hospital where he had to have stitches for the laceration.

Perez-Ramos was charged with:

  • Felony Aggravated Assault - Attempts to Cause SBI or Causes Injury with Extreme Indifference.
  • Misdemeanor Simple Assault.
  • Misdemeanor Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
  • Misdemeanor Possession of an Instrument of Crime with Intent.
  • Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct - Unreasonable Noise.
  • Misdemeanor Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another (4 counts).
  • Summary Harassment Subject Other to Physical Contact.

She is being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $100,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 4.
